Tableaux Window With Valance Adds Polish
One of the rewards of custom work is that I get a chance to really make a difference in the everyday lives of clients. One wonderful customer is adding finishing touches to her already beautiful home that also solve existing light issues. In her breakfast nook is a large palladian window that faces west and blinds everyone with the harsh sun, especially in summer time. I suggested a faux iron product, Tableaux, that we covered with a lovely sheer fabric on the back to soften the light and enhance the window at the same time. It worked beautifully! And we had a custom design constructed that matched perfectly with the window architecture. We then added a fun valance below to soften the transition between the upper and lower windows and really create a polished look that reflected her fun style.
I can’t wait to use Tableaux again since it is light, strong, very customizable and can be used in so many different situations -windows, niches, grills between rooms – the possibilities are endless!
